Ideal moisture curves allow you to select a dry that went well and use its moisture data as a template for future dries. Ideal moisture curves are stored on a strain specific basis, as drying can differ between strains.
When you select that strain in a new dry, the ideal moisture curve will be displayed as a green area on your plot. Keep the moisture in the ideal moisture curve to bring more repeatability to the drying process.

Navigate to one of your strains on the settings page or create a new strain. Under the Ideal Moisture Curve section, use the dropdown to select a completed dry which had good results.
Completed dries are ordered in the drop-down based on start time. Each item in the drop down with the dry name followed by the start time for the dry.
Only Completed Dries can be Selected ℹ️
Completed dries are only displayed in the ideal dry drop-down if they were running for more than 3 days to avoid clutter.
You can search for a dry by name by typing in the drop down.
The ZONE dashboard will plot the moisture data from the dry that is selected in the select box. The plot also includes the strain's target moisture content as a horizontal line.
Once you have found the ideal dry for this strain, hit Create/Update Strain button. Once ZONE saves the changes, the ideal moisture curve will be displayed in the plot on the strain page in the form of an envelope.
Ideal Moisture Curve ℹ️
The upper and lower limits of the moisture curve will display when you hover over the plot. Additionally, the target moisture content for the strain will also display.
Navigate back to the home tab and click on the Create New Dry button. Select the strain that you just edited using the drop-down menu.
Once you have selected both the strain and the space, the ideal moisture curve from the strain will be displayed along with your moisture target. This will be your moisture template for this dry.
From here, proceed as normal by creating the dry and assigning sensors to the dry.
Once all your sensors are attached to the plants, use the Start Dry button to start the dry as normal. You will see the ideal moisture curve and the target moisture plotted in green and white, respectively, in the Data History plot.
Keep the average moisture in the ideal moisture curve to bring more repeatability to the drying process.
Happy drying 🍃
